    Hello shooters,

Please share your opinions on the RAD #2 recoil reduction system for your O/U doubles gun.

Do you set your preload so that the system compresses on your first shot?

If so, does the compression cause the comb to slide on your face and remove skin or affect your second shot?

Any recommendations for different recoil reducers or recoil reduction systems?

I am undecided on which system to install on my new Beretta 687 combo and looking for opinions.

    Thanks,

    Rob

I use a RAD 2 on my Perazzi MX-3 special. I set it for maximum (#9). Have no issues with removing skin or affecting the 2nd shot...

    When I miss it's not the RAD's fault.. ;-)

I've shot my XT with Rad 2 for 7 years now. Set in the middle and haven't touched it since. Dan

Do you guys keep the preload tight enough that it doesn't compress?

If so, then is there a benefit with using it as compared to an inside-the-stock (and less expensive) recoil reducer?

    Thanks,

    Rob

RAD 2 is a high quality device that is very easy to fully adjust. I set mine to the next to stiffest setting, which takes the edge off recoil and I don't notice any compression, which, to me, would be a distraction, particularly for doubles. I have a Guerini top-single combo. Rod's installed mine. Great work.

I currently have a Rad 2 system on my KX-5 and like it well. Still undecided on what to get for my combo gun.

    Thanks for the feedback.
