As a kid hanging around a skeet range in Wiesbaden Germany, I saw a lot of German guns, some competition but most were high end hunting guns. I put the the workmanship and quality of the original R. Fajen stocks right in the middle of them. The only thing that I would say is different is the finish type. The Jägermeisters guns were all oil finishes not the high shine. When I saw this Fajen stock on a
Remington 1100 mag for sale, I bought it, fast. Every one is a sucker for something and nice wood is mine. Old one eye was selling a custom stock and Don sold it to P3at. This is mine on a 20 GA 870.

Some Fajen Quality on Sunday Morning. I am going to get ready for our Fun shoot. It will be 30 singles from the 16 10 pairs of doubles and then a round of skeet doubles a round of regular skeet and then down to the 5 stand to be humbled. I hope your Sunday is as great as mine. Jim

1oz, I did go to the Ft. lee fun shoot. The wind was 10 to 20 and gusting. The trap singles weren't to bad.Trap doubles, well that was a different story. Skeet doubles were tough and the 5 stand Ahhh, kicked my butt. I think I shot a low 30 something. All in all it was nice to see all the guys. JIM

Glad you got such a nice Fajen stock. They made some real nice stocks I liked them because of their tight grip just fit my hand perfect. P3at should have a nice 20 gage when it is finished on a 12 gage frame. He also has an other 1100 projest going at his custom painter right now.

1oz, I thought this thread had died but it has returned. Yes, that old guy was Dewey Hancock. Here is a picture of some of the best shotgun pointers I have met. Dewey passed in 2007 and my dad Jim (old school) Heart Passed this past fathers day Paul Ellison died several years earlier. Only Pat Knutson and I are left from that Squad.

Paul Ellison is in the rear left next to Dewey Hancock my Dad was front left with Pat is on the right. You vets on the east coast, Virginia to Florida should remember Dewy and most all of the armed forces shooters know Pat. Most of my squad mates are gone.
Gene, you right about women and horses I can't hardly afford Good wood. JIM HEART
