Does anyone know, can you take down a Rem. Fieldmaster model 121 22cal pump rifle with the action open. A friend has one that has a shell lodged in it and the action will not close. It was a loaded round and I took the slug and powder out. I have a full face shield in case the primer should go off. Thanks.

    GOOD LUCK

Is the bolt open or closed? How did you get the powder and bullet out?

I woiuld take a 3/16 rod and genly beat it out, preferably with a brass hammer.

If closed make sure the latch is held while beating.

Action is all the way open, with the brass head up under the bolt assembly . I've never seen one like this. It looks as though though the bolt caught the shell on the back stroke instead of when the action was closed like it was supposed to.

Thanks for the help, Ollie..................GOOD LUCK
