I joined ATA in March 2008. Due to a number of issues I did not renew my
membership for the 2009 target year, nor did I shoot any registered targets.
In early September of this year I renewed my membership for the 2010 target
year. The myata website had my status as "paid" until October 1st, when my
status was changed to "unpaid". Here are my questions; Do I have to have
uninterrupted paid membership to shoot the 2010 target year? Would the dues
I paid for the 2010 target year be considered "arrears" for the 2009 target
year that I did not participate in? I have sent a query to ATA via email, but
while awaiting a response I am wondering if any members here may know the
    answer to this.

    Thanks in advance.

If they cashed your check, I wouldn't sweat it...

It looks to me like they changed everyone to unpaid except Life members. It sounds like you are paid for the 2010 target year, just hang on to your receipt.

If you did not shoot any registered targets in the 2009 "target year" then you do not have to pay any dues for that year. Bill Malcolm

I paid for my S.O. and myself for 2010, but my paperwork came in as being paid for 2009 which I did not shoot. I have called the ATA office and been assured that I am paid for the 2010 target year and that they are turning over the books for the new year, but I still show as unpaid when I shoot. They promised it would be ok. Just waiting to see.

A phone call to a real live person will clear things up for you. Even if things appear to not go well, it's not being done intentioally. They seem to me like they are understaffed, not underhanded.
