Hoping to tap into the collective wisdom of this list.

I'm in need of a new shooting coat. Uninsulated. Not camo. But a shooting coat that will allow a full range of motion, plus the benefits of Gore-Tex. And, not a specialized "shooting" coat such as what Storm produces, but something that I could wear when running errands, etc. I've looked at LL Bean and Eddie Bauer, but coming up short.

    Any ideas?

In advance, many thanks for your suggestions.

    Pete

Take a look at Mountian Hardwear and Northface or Columbia. All are very good. I have a jacket or coat of each. I would say the Colunbia would be the best street wear. It has has the most room in the sholder.

I bought a Beretta Gore-Tex coat last year on eBay. It's an upland style coat with lots of pockets and zippered pockets. I like it very much. Seems well made and well designed and the price was quite reasonable....Under $100.00 new on eBay.

Rivers West makes an incredible coat, both for wind and rain. Breathes enough for warmer weather and blocks the wind for cold weather. The best part about the coat is that you do not know you have it on as it is so flexible.
