Does a Sub-JR need 500 targets per year prior to a state shoot? This state in particular would be SC. Would the Sub be forced to shoot in penalty class or can he/she still be in SUB-JR class with out the proper number of targets? Reason I ask is they do not have a driver lic. to get to a registered shoot. Thanks in advance. Mike Sharkey, DC

His age dictates cat, not target numbers.

Not sure if you are concerned about his category or his class?

He should be able to shoot in his CATEGORY (Sub Jr.) no matter how many targets he has. If he doesn't have enough targets, he may be in penalty CLASS or YARDAGE, but will remain in the Sub Jr. category.

If you are worried about Class, Setter's link above should help.
