Guys, I just got another Super X1 and I noticed that there is a little play in the forearm and barrel. The barrel moves in and out just a bit. It seems like the forearm can't screw down fully to tighten up the barrel. Maybe 1/16". any ideas how to make it snug? what is the cause of this. My other one is tight. Common problem? Thanks for the response.

Sounds like you have other Super X1's. Try other forearms and barrels on the new gun to see if you get the same problem. See if the mag tube is screwed into the receiver all the way (compare with other Super-X's).

Does it have a stainless spring tube assembly? If it does, it wasn't screwed into the frame far enough when it was replaced.

You can grind the threaded end down a bit so it allows the cap to screw down tight to the wood. I've also seen guys use a rubber bushing as a spacer between the cap and the fore arm wood.

I cut a leather washer to fit between the end of the forearm and under the
hold down nut : took out all of the barrel/forearm play .
