If your primary goal is to rise the POI beyond adj. rib's range while maintain figure 8 sighting, the easiest way is increase the hight of your mid bead. The same concept on MX-9.

However, if you prefer to relocate the mid bead, you can drill & tap a new hole and fill the old one with very little cost.

Replacing the factory rib is the hard way for what you're trying to accomplish.

The center bead is necessary to help determine correct gun mount, more than anything else. Some shooters like to inline their beads or even have a large black space between the beads instead of the recommended figure 8.

One thing I would like to see, but don't have the mechanical function to make is a small fixture, like a magnet, with a small bead on it, that you can slide up and down the rib, to obtain the desired fig 8 after adjusting the rib.

Jerrie White, makes what he calls a "bump" that serves this purpose, but his uses a set screw in the space occupied by the center bead, after he removes it, and therefore is not adjustable.

Whoever can create amd market such a device, be it a magnet or a simple metal clip that hugs the rib without flying off after a shot, could make a small fortune...........maybe?
