I am looking at a Model 12 skeet gun that is for sell at Jaquas. It is super clean and has a three pin ventilated rib. Is the three pin a later version of rib and are there advantages to a three pin gun ? I have not seen many clean M12 skeet guns lately.

Have owned two 12 ga skeets that were 3-pin VRs and a solid rib one. Love them all.

the 3 pins were the last of the pre 64's. Not as sought after as 2 pins but they are great guns. Will outlast you if you take care of it.

Is $1250 for an original gun in excellent condition a fair price ?

Its not original since someone added a white line pad.

I bought a new Win Model 12 in 1962 with the Serial # 191-,--- and it has a white line Winchester pad on it. My Win model 12 is completely original. This is a trap model and not the skeet model. Tom

$1250 would be top dollar, IMO.

If you find a top Model 12 from Jaqua your going to pay top dollar for it.

It's getting very tough to find one that has not been altered in some way.

I would say it would be a better deal as a Trap gun, but 8-1200. seems to be the going price.

    Regards....Gerald

Seems a might high for a plain receiver Mod 12 I'd say 850

The pad could be original, three pin skeets being made with and without. The price is over the top for a three pin, even if absolutely mint and original. A mint and original two pin skeet with hard butt can be a $2000 gun.
