The Pen-Mar weather woes continue. Blowing snow, not at your back, in your face. It really made for some tough shooting conditions. Some of us stepped up to the challenge and some of us crashed and burned. I'm in the crashed and burned camp (I don't handle visual impairment well). I shot with a guy who did handle the challenge (from a yard behind me as well). Jim Roland took high gun honors today with a 48x50 and earned 1yrd which puts him on the 27. Good shooting Jim. Earning 1/2 yrd with 47x50 was a 3way tie: Bob Lefever(25.5), Roy Snyder(24), Wilbur Ruhl(27)

    Lewis Payout: 48(1)58.50___47(3)9.75___42(1)58.50___41(3)13.00

    High Gun 48(1)52.00___High Hcp 25(1)52.00

    50/50 winner Les Boone 29.00

When it looked like Oxford and Cedar was out of shooters, Oxford held a slim 1 target lead for 2nd place. But, and this is a big but, late comer T. H. Wallace helped Cedar drop a 39 when he came in with a 45. With that Oxford's goose was cooked. And of course the A team had to pile on with B. Shissler's 47 and M. Matroni jr's 46. In the end it wasn't even close: Quarryville 450, Cedar 438, Oxford 433.

Club Standings: Oxford 16pts, Quarryville 14pts, Cedar 12pts

Shooter Standings after 6 shoots top 3:

    16's E. Gouge(Lady)145, W. Ruhl 143, C. Bowers 142

    Hcp B. Shissler 139, J. Roland 134, M. Matroni sr 133

    Over All W. Ruhl 274, J. Roland 273, B. Shissler 272

Well, Oxfords lead is just about gone, Quarryville is not slowing down, and Cedar is showing some signs of life, things are starting to get interesting. Its real tight in the Over All standings as well. I can't wait to see what happens next week(Please let it be 50 and sunny).

Ray and I are on our way to Quarryville to do some Pen-Mar practice. See if we can't do something about the hot streak Quarryville has been on.

Maybe I should get some of my team to practice because I'm getting tired of coming in LAST!!! Cedar and Quarryville put it to us again. I'll post the results as soon as Linda emails them to me.
