The wind, the wind, the wind. I don't know how else to say it. Blowing 25-30 out of the NW with gusts to 40. Temps in the 20's with wind chill in the single digits. What a day. We had to pin the speakers down on the practice trap and trap 1 for the singles. On trap 2 for the hcp we had to use cinderblocks to keep the speakers upright. As I sit here at the computer I can hear the wind still howling outside. Should make for a fun Big Meat Shoot tomorrow. Trying to find your hold point before calling for the target was tough when it was hard to just stand still. The target lottery was fun too. Will you get a high flier or a flat screamer? How about the ones that barely cleared the house and hit the dirt half way to the stake? Not to mention the fact that your tigger finger was just about frozen. Fun times. I was happy to see the sun, if there had been anything falling from the sky it would have been unbearable. Even with the conditions turn-out was decent with 74 shooters. Cedar (32), Oxford (23), and Quarryville (19)

Reid Cohn got Oxford off to a good start with a 45. Quarryville's Tom Parker answered with a 44 and Wilbur Ruhl got Cedar started with a 43. Anything today in the low 40's was a good score. The Wallace duo again tried to pull up Cedar with a 44 & 43 (Sr had the 44) but it was not enough and Cedar had to settle for 3rd. Oxford thought they were in the hunt when Bill Wasik and Yours truly brought in 43's but there was a math error on the tally sheet(Darrel Cook had been given a 42 when it should have been a 32). With the A team bringing in 3 43's and a 42 it was all over and Quarryville had won by 8 targets. Quarryville (412), Oxford (404), and Cedar (399)

Reid Cohn took top gun honors today with his 45 and is headed to the 22 yard line. Good shooting Reid. Earning 1/2 yard with 44's are Ted Wallace Sr.(25.5) and Tom Parker (20.5).

    Lewis Payout 45(1)70.50___44(1)47.00___37(4)17.50___36(2)23.50

    Hi-Gun 44(1)58.00___Hi-Hcp 22(3)19.25

The 50/50 winner was Hank Henry (37.50)

Club Standings: Quarryville 22.5pts, Oxford 21pts, Cedar 16.5pts

Quarryville continues it's winning ways while Oxford struggles to finish 2nd. I think Cedar is asleep at the wheel. I can't wait to see what Mother Nature has in store for us next week at Quarryville.

Shooter Standings top 5 after 9 shoots:

    16's R. Lewis 218, E. Gouge 213, B. Harrison 213, W. Ruhl 213, M. Sullenberger 212

    Hcp T. Lefever 204, G. Moore 203, T. Wallace 203, R. Lewis 199, Jr Matroni 199, J. Roland 199

    H.O.A. R. Lewis 417, T. Wallace 411, J. Roland 410, G. Moore 408, M. Sullenberger 407

Things are real tight in the Hcp standings and if I don't get my act together soon I will be having some company in the HOA standings, Mr Wallace is coming on strong.

Due to a tally error on a score sheet the bottom lewis class payout had to be corrected:

    36(2)35.25___35(5)15.50

    37 no longer pays
