I already have a TB870 that I enjoy shooting trap with and I was thinking about getting a new 870 Classic Trap. However, I have heard some bad things about new Remington shotguns. Could I hear from some folks who have owned and shot both old and new model 870 Traps? Thanks from James Carpenter

New is as good as old and old could not be worn out in one lifetime.

I purchased a new Rem. Classic 870 Trap about 1-1/2 yrs ago. Wonderful shooter. In comparison I also own and shot Model 31, 11-87. and 1100. The new shoots as good or even better. New choke system, long range, mid range, and short range. Good Luck and enjoy if you buy one.

    I have a 2007 870 Classic Trap. It's as good as any 870 I've ever seen.

Do you have any specific questions?

Since my Trap Classic finally consented to be "broken in", mine has been very satisfactory. She was very reluctant to become "broken in"... hard to shuck.
    Recruit new shooters.
