I was given a older 800 plus and it is currently not indexing at all. I also need to get a few parts for it. Is it worth paying the money to have it gone over and fixed or is it too old?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Most likely the Star Gear sitting under the crosshead. These are $65 and shipping. I would opt for the Removable Die System which includes the newer design Start Gear, Pinion Gear and everything else to convert to a better setup.

I would tear it down and clean EVERYTHING, install new bushings/liners, new Wad Carrier bushings and cam gear.

I thoroughly rebuild them for $165 and parts.

I'm curious why this thread is titled "800 Plus". The older machines were either 800B, 800C, or 800CVT. The newest machine is the 800 Plus.
