I am looking for a good 12 ga., 7/8 oz load at 1200-1220 FPS
with a PT1205 Wad (Ballistic Products) and STS hull.

There is good news/bad news abt reloading the VP-05 wad ... or any of the European 24gram wads for that matter.

Note that BPI says the VP-05 is a ┬żoz wad in STS and AA hulls, and I think that is right. I doubt you can get a full 7/8ox in an STS hull and get it closed from any 'book' load.

First, it will be hard to blow yourself up, regardless what you use, but 2nd, and maybe more importantly, forget abt slow speed. 1300 is a good target, not 1200. AND you are going to have some REAL fitment/crimping issues on the STS hull.

Any Misc Eurotrash hull makes a MUCH better 24gm load than RemChester.

This is a chart for the B&P T-2 ... ballistically identical to the VP-05.

If you want to go to SGW, the reloading board, and search for VP there have been several threads abt the VP-05.

    I have some Fiocci data for their NSGT24 wad (same category) and STS hulls, showing 17.1gn of Clays for 1200fps and 8100psi and 18.0gn for 1250 and 8900psi. And International: 20.7gn - 1250 & 6700; 21.5 for 1300 & 7400.

I have shot a pickup bed full of all flavors of Euro wads, in Misc ET hulls over an F209A primer and 17gn of Bullseye. It is a 1300fps load that will not operate an auto.

I'll mail you the Fio Data, and what else I can find, but you'd profit and make your life easier by picking up a sack of wally-works Federals, and Rios/Kemens, whatever the throwaway hull of choice is at your range.

Here is the link for the VP05 data predecessor to the PT1205. I have shot alot of the VP05 wads in straight wall hulls and in Gunclub, STS hulls as well. The larger diameter and deep powder cup raise PSI for 3/4 and 7/8 in tapered hulls. http://www.ballisticproducts.com/VP05data.pdf 10Tenner
