Will North Korea launch a psycological 'nuclear age' bomb or a real physical bomb as threatened? Or was the threat in itself psychological to divert the nation's attention away from gun control, unemployment, rising prices, financial issues, etc.?

    Which is more damaging?

"North Korea is pissin in the wind" ! All talk. Any action would ensure total destruction of their country. Knowing that, would you press the button if you were Kim?

    blade,

Just remember, history has shown us many 3rd World leaders who were just that stupid. Sadaam H. decided to roll the dice. No he didn't launch a Nuclear missile but he called the US bluff and found out the hard way that we were not kid'n.

Kim should check with Japan and see how starting a war with the USA worked for them.

I think it is all BS. He wants concessions on alot of stuff, and this is the only way he can get it, by bullying everyone else. If he does start something, and we make a parking lot out of his kingdom, I know a guy that can do the paving and striping. He is also an ATA member. LOL.

Does nobody here remember the LAST TIME we got involved in a shooting war with N. Korea...????
You might want to review your history...because it's apparent THEY HAVE.
You can puff up and bluster all you want...speculate all you want about their "total destruction". Just remember that it's just that...speculation. What those old guys in Pyongyang KNOW is that last time it took 3 yrs of war, and 100,000 American casualties before we accepted a DRAW. Nobody was "wiped out". Nobody suffered total destruction.

You are kidding yourself if you think N. Korea is the only one who learned from that mess. If it happens, it will not resemble in any way shape or form the first NK conflict. Think more like the 1st Gulf War. Strategic air strikes from afar and above.

I liken that little fat runt in NK to a kid poking a hornets nest. He has heard the warnings but just has to see for himself. Lets just pray it doesn't happen.

Well.... He may be crazy but he has a pretty good life even if his people do not. I suspect at 29 or 30 he hasn't seen as much of life as he would like. Especially the life of privilege he will have to a ripe old age, even if nothing changes. I suspect he is having a lot of fun being a punk right now. Like all punks he will get slapped sooner or later and will come in line.Jeff

Would O say I'll take care of you... and throw our nukes and weaponry into the ocean? That's apparently how we deal with murderers.

And where are all the war protesting peace-niks?

The current North Korean madman got his job through nepotism, not because he had any special skills, knowledge or insight. He is the third generation of the madman that started all the crazy stuff that put the name "Korea" in our vocabulary (and American soldiers in harms way). Look at world history, from the middle eastern kings in biblical time all the way up to Czar Nicholas II of Russia, rulers who inherit the position end up doing foolish things that hurt their subjects and often bring about their own end.
Make no mistake, SOMEONE will provide that little inbreed moron something of world class power, and HE WILL launch it. We will be in a tough situation at the best of times. Our current commander in chief will make matters worse.

It is not realistic to take an attitude of "let him do it, we'll kick butt and take names". The USA is a lot different then it used to be, and the world is different also.

The Korean War was not a walk in the park in any way, shape or form. Talk to the Korean War Veterans and listen to their stories. It's a shame that we have to revisit the thought of war with Korea.
