The Australians have gone off the edge when it comes to guns- evidently a radical few- when I lived in Aust. and duck/goose hunted there - on Lake Eucumbene as well as on rice fields around Narrandera and WaggaWagga there was absoutely no anti-hunting sentiment- Admittedly this was quite a few years ago - the Aust. sentiment went anti-gun after one or two major shootings in Tasmania and elsewhere

I believe only double barrel shotguns are now legal in Aust. Despite this I( believe a strong pro-hunting group is still present.

And this should be glaringly obvious to those who want to compromise with the anti-gunners and anti-hunters... If you sacrifice other gun owners or sportsmen to the anti's, the only thing is accomplishes is putting their agenda that much closer to taking your rights away too. The anti's will not stop until they get everything. You cannot appease the unappeaseable.

She is extremely fortunate to still have eyes. We already know she has no brains.

Australia has gone overboard in its efforts for gun control. It's ironic since its history was one of a wild, pioneer country.

That's because Australia has embraced socialism and has become an Orwellian nanny state.

She wasn't suppose to be there in the first place.was risking her own life to protest. Accidents happen at times sorry she got it in the face. If she was protesting speeding: would she stand in middle lanes of expressway. I would have felt a lot better if she would have got it in the rear end. Then she could show everybody where he brains are. Hope she heals up . Ken U

Too many people on this site are too busy whining about "Sons of Guns" to worry about things like this. Beam me up Scotty.

The ducks should be the only ones allowed to protest.

Suprised more protesters haven`t been "accidently shot" over the years.

She was hit with steel shot. That should be banned first.

Steel shot would have bounced off of her. The hunter should have told here to pick up his duck while she was over there.

This is the type thing that generates a knee jerk reaction and given the way the press reports these events, this whole deal could bounce all over the free world and cause us even more problems.

It is amazing you can fart out loud in Australia and hear about it 2 seconds later, or less, anywhere in the world at any time.

Apparently every nation has forgotten how they got into power and captured land and possessions. ALL used guns. How do you think we stole the US from the Native Americans? Guns.

Evidently Australia's government fears an armed population.

Certainly removes the ability to protect ones self.

Now that the government has spent $500 million in a gun confiscation/buyback home invasions are up 300%.....mostly on the elderly.

They'll probably start confiscating sharp knives soon.

I wonder what the bag limit is on tree huggers. I'm shure if there was a season on them in Wis the DNR would have a $3.00 application fee.
