Protectors involve two shooters shooting as a team with one backing the other in case the first shooter misses. We shoot with 5 teams of two on the 27 yd. line. The winning "team" splits the pot money. First shooter on the team shoots if he misses the second shooter shoots if he misses it's a lost target. If the second shooter shoots and the first shooter has already hit the target it is a loss. Ties are shot off at further distances. Our normal protectors you shot 2 birds per station, our program you shoot four birds per station. Hope this helps.
