I noticed the same thing, still have an 8#er unopened, will have to check prices when I re-order. I'm like CactusJW, I prefer 700X but at the price difference bought a couple jugs of Promo, it is OK "but". Ross

Just bought an 8lb jug in West Michigan for $75 vs. $104 for 700X.

They say Promo is the same as Red Dot, just weighs a little different, but it just doesn't seem to work as well for me as Red Dot. Anybody else feel the same way?

It's probably just mental on my part but they don't seem to perform the same for me.

I agree with Bisi and 3357. For less than .1 cent per round difference between known consistant quality Red Dot and Promo -----WHY Bill

You can take it a step farther. I used to shoot promo until a friend talked me into trying clay's. My guns my re loader, my reloading room is much more clean. After trying clay's I cant believe I ever used promo. So spend some extra money and get some good clean powder.
