    Project 1100 In progress..

I'm doing this for a friend.. She liked a Remington 1100 that I was lucky to get from Biff. She has been shooting it very well, she had been shooting a BT-99 that was beating her up bad, Too light!.
We found a Nice Tournament 1100 trap (very nice wood ) on gunbroker for $650.00, It included A Timney pull trigger , and a Stan Baker choke tube barrel.

So because my 1100 has a simmons Olympic rib barrel, I know she would not be happy with a flat shooting 1100..

Started looking for a high rib barrel ,, simmons Olympic rib barrel,, moneymaker, or a hastings high rib 1100 barrel .. got lucky Found a Moneymaker with choke tubes For $375.00..

Hi Jack Feeling any better today?
I had Kerry Allor Check the Barrel out and he said just shoot it..
After you told me about that barrel for sale I had to make the guy a offer $375 and I got it.. I got lucky when I found the project gun too, It had some very nice parts too.
I think it will work out nice..

Thanks again for your help, It's been a fun project and has lit a fire to go get the gun I always wanted. A Mach One, So I'll be selling a few guns soon.Best of luck harry

Project looks good and looking forward to seeing it completed.

In the late 1990s I had a 1100 receiver, bead blasted the top of the receiver for a matte finish then a brushed chrome finish by T & A gunsmiths in Florida. I received many compliments on the gun, I think it functioned longer between cleaning with the mag tube chromed, unfortunately the barrel locator pin broke off and the receiver cracked several years later.

Sweet-looking gun! You are going to need an adjustable comb or something to get the shooter's eye up to that rib but I'm sure that is in your plans.

    Harry,

The receiver I had plated was well used when I had it plated, I would be shooting it today if it had not developed the crack. I have considered having another one chromed.

Talk to Bruce he was part of this Project , But I think you could do any old Reciver ,, the blueing has to be removed.

And depending on the finish, The look of the chrome will change..

Bruce (Bullettheturtle) is your man for all you Chrome work.. http://dandbmetalfinishing.com/

Thanks Again For All Your Help Bruce

I'm making some changes to the ajustable comb.. ( didn't like the feel, and the ajusting posts were to short to get the comb up high to aline with rib )
