First off, let me reiterate that I take nothing from no one. I'm not an " * " (asterisk) guy... and all who have stepped up to the shooting positions to earn their straights, averages and handicap yardages have done so through years of commitment in time and resources... all sports have had their respective "eras" and the attempt by Landis in diminishing Maris to protect Ruth was a prime example of how poor that rationale can be implemented and the polarization to sportmanship it can foster.

However, reading about Professional Putt Putt crystalizes for me that any argument that any sport(s) can't have professionals or industry representation even on a part-time basis is folly.

Take a look at these middle age white guys... we have a lot in common!

    best regards,

    Jay

Uh, oh. Can Columbus handle two big events on the same weekend?

"10 July 2011 - Columbus, IN - On a sun-splashed and oppressively hot mid-summer weekend, long-time course owners Carl and Karen Miller very warmly welcomed the PPA National Tour to their beautifully-maintained Putt-Putt Facility."

The only problem is that putt-putt doesn't involve guns...

I bet it would be a lot more fun if it did. Imagine putt-putt with light 410's :)

That physique is commonly known as the 'classic trapshooters profile'.

I remember watching Putt-Putt championships on TV when I was a little kid. Even then I thought it was kind of silly for grown men to be playing competitive Putt-Putt for money.

    TBaber:

"ATA is to Put Put as Olympic Trap is to PGA Golf."

That might be true. If so, it's only because fat guys play putt putt and shoot ATA while PGA golfers and Olympic shooters tend to be skinny.
