We (CGESC) are seriously concidering holding this shoot. We have the money in perfect 50's. We can offer the truck or bike. What im curious about is if the top guns will across the country will come and shoot against each other. We will put on a class event. We will offer top shelf after shoot events for shooters, and thier wives. Wine tours, fishing, golfing, casinos, Veiw volcanic peaks, World class fishing, Jet boat tours.
    To entice your imagination...

A date could be a problem, your season is very short and you could be on top of another big shoot....

I grew up in Harrisburg. I shot my first registered targets (PITA)there in 1967. A good excuse to go see my parents. Count me in.

    Karla,
If Leo wins please make him take the Ford! With the luck he has with Golfcarts he sure don't need a Harley.See ya at The Dollar in March.Hope Leo can shoot.

I think the Harrisons might prefer Chevrolets. You might as well get them the kind of truck they like!

Thank you for the comments and support. Jim thanx for posting the picture (Wish I had the garbage cleaned up!)We wouldn't hold this until next year. We have way to much going on this year to give this event the attention it would require.
The all inclusive idea we certainly can offer. We do have special rates for our customers with several hotels in the immediate area. If you plan to attend a shoot let me know and I'll get you information. We do intend on adding an "accomidation" tab on the website soon to make it easier for shooters to make reservations.
We will monitor the thread for addition comments.
    Thanx again

Actually, every vehicle we own is a FORD product, comes from Leo shooting too often with Steve Brink, owner of Gem City Ford, Quincy, IL.I will not tolorate him on a motorcycle, it's just too dangerous and besides, it would be just toooo funny. Has the club considered scheduling the shoot close to the western grand date so maybe those who come from far away could do both?

    Dennis,
I like the program and if time allows I would certainly participate. I do have a few of questions for you.

I am curious if the shoot will be registered - either PITA or ATA - or both?

I am assuming from the brief description that all contestants will shoot from the 27 yard-line - but what would classify them as such and what would make a shooter a PRO? I believe there are rules in the registered ranks that would prevent a shooter from shooting incorrect yardage - so only 27 yard shooters would be able to participate.

Lastly, why limit the numbers to 70? I would think that would be a minimum required to hold the shoot, but additional shooters would just sweeten the pot - for both your club and the shooters. Last time I was at Cottage Grove there were plenty of traps to host a much larger shoot should there be enough interest.

Thank you - and once again I applaud your idea and think this could be a world-class shoot.

How could it be a ATA event if everyone shot from the 27?
