Pro-Bore chokes?

    On the Model 1100 Competition new 12 gauge, they have listed for the chokes,
    Briley (target) PRO-BORE, what does this mean for PRO BORE?

    Normal Remington chokes are threaded on the bottom end. Pro bores are threaded at the top. Pretty much the difference.

    One other thing; they ain't interchangible.

    Pro-Bore chokes (as NJCOP indicated) are threaded at the muzzle of the gun and are for use in the Remington Pro Bore barrels that are larger in internal diameter than the standard 12ga. The bore on my Competition synthetic measures about .740". As far as "you've been had"? Not sure about that as they are the only chokes that fit the barrel....... Larry
