Need pricing help for friend that is looking to sell without taking a bath but not trying to squeeze every last nickel out of his sales for the following:

.222 Rem std weight, 4x12 Leupold adj obj, 98+% 700 BDL

    22-250 same as the 222

    6 MM hvy barrel, 6x18 Leupold, 700 BDL98+%

6 MM std weight, detachable magazine, 700 BDL either 3x9 or 4 x 12 Leupold

.270 700 BDL with 3x9 Leupold but this is a left hand model

    742 in 30-06 with 2x7 Redfield tracker

870 Rem field gun, 98+% left hand with 30" full vent rib barrel

I hope this comes up without being jumbled together?! Also, assume no boxes on any of this but there may be. By the way, the 98+% is conservative on all of these. LNIB is probably closer! Sorry, no pics at this time. Just trying to help the guy get started. Thanks, Tom Rhoads

No pricing help today? Okay, what generation is a 1972 Colt Match Target and what is the price here?! Gunbroker is not much help on any of this as most guns have no bids! Shocker! Tom Rhoads

IMO, these are pretty much commercial firearms without any collector value added to them. To get in the ballpark on price, I would take the same gun new and take off 30%, and then take off 50% for the scopes. Example (figures used are for easy math computations): if the rifle is worth $1000 new and the scope $500 new, a ballpark for a used gun and scope would be around $950.00. High buck bases and rings could add a few dollars....

The 742 is not worth much at all. No new parts are being made for that model, and we won't pay more than $100 for such a firearm in a trade or outright purchase....

You might get a little bit more for the leftie models, but you will also have fewer buyers so it might be a wash....hope this helps...

I'd put the rifles with the scopes in the $500 - $700 range and the 742 $350.

Rem 700 6mm with clip mag??

    The 870 $300.

    Regards from Minnysoda

Thanks Rick! Using ebay for completed listings on scopes and using 70% for used rifles, these numbers compare very similarly with your estimates! Tom Rhoads
