Went to buy some shot at local gun shop and paid $41.50 including tax for 25lbs of Lawrence #8 magnum shot. It had been around $50.

Also observed rip-off prices at Gander Mountain: $9.50 for 250 WAA12SL wads when others charge around $5.50. Gander is funny that way. They have some good deals, interspersed with some outrageously high prices. Other outrageously high prices there are $99 for a Browning Midas Improved Modified Invector Plus choke that I can get for $45 from any mail order place int he country.

Oh yes, that reminds me that Gander Mountain had AA shot shells for $8.99 a box at the time.

Federal Multi-Purpose shells, 4 boxes per carton at our local Walmart, $16.77 per. That's $41.93 per flat.....can't reload that cheaply at today's componet pricing.

New Sportsman's Warehouse opened a few months ago in Allen Park MI. Nice store and a lot of good deals.

Address for a Google map is
3223 Fairlane Drive Allen Park MI Phone 313-382-9800

They need a coat check room, so you can roam around without having to drag your coat with you. We spent at least 2 hours in the store Saturday. Nice Guns everywhere. 90% of the employees left Gander Mountain in Novi MI to join this store so it was nice to see some familiar faces.
