Red Dot at $100 per eight sounds pretty good. Primers could be $15 - 20 less

Our club has Rio's for $57.50 including tax. No shortage from suppliers.
Every year distributors say that prices are going way up, but in the last
few years they really haven't - at least for shells.

However, target fees for registered shoots have gone up. We're looking at
$30 an event plus daily fees for our next big shoot coming up in North Carolina.

At my club, prices below include sales tax and shipping and other fees:

    Cheddite Primers are $28 /1K
    WW209 Primers are $32 / 1K
    Claybuster wads are $17 / 1000 (2 bags)
    Clays Powder is $123 / 8# Jug
    Lead Shot is $28 / 25# bag

Primers and Powders are getting in short supply as Remington and Fed primers are sold out.
I only shoot Clays so I do not know the prices of other powders.

Only place in our town that has shot is $50 a bag. Only place in town that has 12 gauge target load shells is $8.50 a box, and they only had 2 flats. People like me that stocked up early, are letting loose of some of their stock, so shooters at the club can keep shooting. The club can't make money if you aren't throwing targets. Mark

At my club Estates have gone from $55 a Flat to $65 in the last few months..
At this rate my shooting has slowed down and registered target count is one third of 2012..

I've been told by a distributor that prices will increase, AGAIN, in April. Doesn't make any difference ... he doesn't have any anyway.

No wonder I can't hit anything. Guy told me the .410 shot would work fine in 12ga.

Where I buy supplies in Penna. they are limiting Win. 209 primers to 2000 at purchase. RD powder is slightly over $100, Clays is over $120. A few of my shooting buddies and myself are pretty well stocked up. But, that is just relative to how much we shoot.

I have a decent supply - I always kept a lot on hand anyway - but could use some Varget rifle powder. No shops have any and my regular supplier is saying three months until he sees more.

The prices of target shells you guys mentioned make me glad I bought what I did when I did - 40 flats of STS/Nitro 27s for $52 a flat was a chunk to pay at one time but I guess I could make money on them now and I don't shoot much any more, so that's a tempting thought. But around here anyway, prices aren't as hateful as some I see on here - I can buy CCI MiniMag 22LRs for $8.95 per 100 and rifle powder is $30 per pound, give or take a buck, with no limits on purchases. I bought an eight-pound jug of Green Dot not too long ago for $128.

But that will likely not last forever.

I just picked up a 8pound jug of Promo for $83 something plus tax in Rochester Friday. They were out of Primers and shot.

Fortunately I have 7300 primers and I make my own shot. I am sure there wont be a problem with wads at all.

It is easy to go over $1.00 per target at registered skeet tournaments this year if using factory ammo. Ron
