1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

For sale or trade: A. H. Fox J Grade SBT with 2 barrels, this gun letters to William Gough, he was the head engraver at the Fox plant, $3,000.00 or trade for a Fox 16 AE, or a CE 12. Had a lot of intrest and a few low ballers, but I would rather trade for a Fox SXS.

    Callahan Letter:

    Grade: J GRADE
    Gauge: 12
    Barrel: 32"
Stock: 14-1/2 lenght of pull, 1-3/8 drop at comb, 2-1/8 drop at heel, full pistol grip
    Weight: 7lb, 12oz

This trap gun was completed at the Philadelphia, PA. factory of the A.H. Fox Gun Co. and was made for their inventory. The original consignee is entered simply as "Gough" this of coarse was W.H. Gough who was the head of the engraving department at Fox, Regrettably there is no date shown, but would have occured circa 1920 or 1921.

There is no mention of the 30" barrel in the letter, I assume since William Gough worked at the plant he just had an extra barrel made for it.

George, Just a little friendly advice. You have a very interesting gun, but you need to post better pictures. Close ups of both sides and bottom of reciever. Also close ups of engraving and writing on barrel. Pictures of water table on reciever and flats of barrels where they fit reciever. Also more info is needed. Length of pull, drop at comb, drop at heel, length of barrels, choke in both barrels. Someone who collects and shoots these guns will need this info to decide whether this gun is worth the asking price. You have been trying to sell this gun for a long time and with correct info it should have been sold in a few days. jmho Regards, Bill
