I have an opportunity to buy 20 flats of AA"s that were bought about 8 or 9 years ago. Does anyone have any way of finding out what they would have sold for back then? They're in good shape and have been kept dry.

They should be worth no less than new ones today. You aren't buying the shells 9 years ago. One could argue they are worth more than new ones. I think they were around $4.50, less in quantities.

The seller has offered to sell them for what he paid for them back then. He's aware what they go for today.

If it were me, I would jump on that like a Duck on a June Bug.
I have a couple big garbage cans full of "old" AA's
They are energizer bunnies, and just keep going.

I think you would both come off as winners if you offered him $5.00 a box ($50.00 a flat). Probably a little more than he paid for them THEN, but still better than you can find then for NOW.

I have 2 flats of old AA silver Handicaps in my ammo room and I have marked on the cases that they were purchased in March 2005 for 58.99 per flat if that helps.Jerry
