Oregon is right Chuck. I am not 100% sure of that as 20,000 or more that I bought when they were 80 or so. I use federal 209a for game shooting and handloads for hunting. The winchesters I use for 28ga loads mostly and I have shot factory loads for the 28ga and sold the hulls for years. That all changes now though!! 2 more flats of loaded 28ga ammo and the Starlings in Oregon will be fed a steady dies of reloads. How much are they near you?? Jeff

Chuck: Today, the price of primers is a moving target. There are some "old stock" Winchester primers in the pipline at 130.00-$140.00 and then the current stock is $145-$150.00. When prices change this fast you will get variations in price checks. Hope all is well, Roger

According to Hodgdon powders Nobel sport 209 can be substituted as a direct replacement, I go 5k @ $88.00 + tax a few months ago, used them in the past with zero problems, just keep trak on which hulls you use them on, them are a bit oversized ( I'm using them exclusively on my Rem gun club & game club hulls) this is how I track them---Phil

$149.95/5000 in west central WI. After many years using Winchester I'm going with Rio's and save $50.00.

I understand high price for lead but why have primers jumped so much-why have wads?

Wads are made of plastic. Plastic prices have soared. Look at the price of oil.
