What are those black trucks in the Presidential Motorcade?

Have you ever wondered what all those extra SUVs are in
U.S. Presidential or VP motorcades? You know, the ones
with tinted windows where no one gets in or out of?

Wonder no more. These SUVs each carry a 6-barreled
7.62 mm mini gun. They fire over 4,000 rounds per minute.
Wipers need to be run to remove spent casings when the
weapon is firing. The vehicle is also armor plated.

This video is from the company that makes this happen.

Those are the same type of vehicles they use to protect nuclear component shipments that travel the roads in the US.

Not the only firepower they carry....

Years ago I worked a gov't. contract at Ft. Meade, Maryland. The EOD crew I was with cleared a bunch of training/impact area land almost in the shadow of the NSA building. Anywho we often saw those "war-wagons" cruising around the area. They probably contained enouigh weapons to supply a third world country. A few times we would see helicopter "Air Force One's" fly by. There are always two or three so one never really knows which bird the big-wig is in. Interesting area.

There is really nothing at all in those vehicles except a driver and he is low paid driver to boot.

The vehicles are only there as a show of force to make the entire motorcade look tough and mean ... nothing more and nothing less than that ... the government is broke and they cant afford to stock them with anything but they still have to have a supposed show of force and for Buddy O ... you may think it has that in it but ... well ... if you say so it must be true.

Newbius...sorry, but you are definitely not correct. There are always at least 2 enlisted (security detail), if not more, inside those SUVs, and they are armed with assault weapons.

And if the DoD weren't spending money, there would be a lot of us trapshooters (including me) who could not afford to shoot trap.

Yep ... the armament of those vehicles are on youtube and other sources on the internet ... yeah and if you believe that you also believe that there is an escape pod and ramp where you can use one of the parachutes in the tail of Air Force One like in the movies.

Last I knew those vehicles were secret service vehicles controlled, driven and manned by the secret service and the secret service is not at all any part of the military and thusly are not enlisted people in there but instead ... well ... if Recurvy says there enlisted they must be enlisted.

Living in the DC area I know a few who have done service with our government in various departments who have supported Presidential and Dignitary motorcades and events and a few who rode along at times in those vehicles and to be honest ... you really dont want to know what they have in the vehicles or exactly how many are crammed into those and other vehicles in the areas of the motorcade that you dont even realize are there and also what Clinton had in the vehicles for his own special trips around the white house grounds.

What you see and think you know is not what your going to get or find out what you thought you knew if something did happen ... but you can always believe what you see on the internet.

Newbius...there are many people (including and beside me) that use the term "enlisted" to mean "non-civilian." The secret service agents are enlisted members of the Department of Homeland Security, have tactical training, and are all cleared.

I never used the term "military" in the above post.

As I stated before, there are always at least TWO in the vehicle, and they are always armed with assault weapons. The types of weapons in the video above are real and are being used. You, as a civilian, will never know which of those black vehicles contain what kind of weapons. There is a reason for that.

I do work with the military at the Pentagon in DC, as well as several federal agencies in DC. The DHS is one of those agencies. Unless you have first-hand knowledge, I would venture to say that you only THINK you know. Especially because even those of us who work WITH and FOR don't know it all.

Just as you say ... "even those of us who work WITH and FOR don't know it all" ... and where you say you work you should know yourself there are certain things that are just not supposed to be talked about but if you feel you must please tell more.

I don't talk about 3/4 of what I know. If you can find it, as others have on here, then we have long since moved on to better methods and technology.
