President's Cup at Hartford Gun Sunday 4/14

    EAST GRANBY, Conn. -- Hartford Gun Club will hold the 38th annual President's Cup Shoot, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 14, at the club shooting grounds here. The shoot is sponsored by Lomac, LTD.

    Event 1 -- 16 yard singles, 100 targets, five classes, $100 each class, divided 60-40 high gun, ties split. Lewis class; President's Cup Purse for high-combined score of events 1 and 2. This option must be entered with Event 1. Ties must shoot off. You must play the purse to win the cup. Winner's name engraved on perpetual cup retained at the club. Entries close at 10 a.m.

    Event 2 -- Handicap, 100 targets, four yardage groups, $125 per yardage group, divided 60-40, high gun, ties split. Entries close at 1 p.m.

    Event 3 -- Doubles, four classes, $25 high gun each class, ties split.

    Singles and handicap will be shot on three banks of two fields each.

    Doubles -- on its own field -- will be shot all day at the discretion of the shooters.

    Shoot management reserves the right to refuse any entry, to make program changes or cancellations, or make adjustments to traps as conditions warrant.

    One of the nicest clubs to shoot at in New England...good guys and a great shoot!

    Will there be a practice trap open?
    Will there be lunch available
    ?

    Both are usually available at club shoots. I'm sure that there will be a practice trap, and if lunch is not offered there is an excellent basic restuarant about a quarter mile from the front entrance.
