    Revised 7/7/08, 12:37 pm.

Dispite the long holiday weekend and hot weather we had a record turnout of 12 squads of singles, 12 squads of handicap and 8 squads of doubles. And there was some darn good shooting as well.

The winners of the Bill and Ruthie Hunter trophies for the July shoot are:
For high lady the silver dollar necklace goes to Candy Hammond and for the high singles C the silver dollar money clip goes to Chuck Thompson. Each trophie came with $20.00. Congratulations to both of you.

For the August shoot the trophies will go to the High Lady and the high singles B. Thank you Bill and Ruthie Hunter.

    The preliminary shoot results are:

    Singles: 100 AA, Jerry Preston 99, A, Paul McIntosh 99, B, Greg DeWitt 98, C, Chuck Thompson 98 and D, Ryan Grant 94.

    Singles: 50, Sam MacAnally 45.

    Handicap: 27, Jim Hammond 50, 25-26, Dianne Savage 46, 22-24 Bryan Dyer 45, 21, Al Firebaugh 45 and 20 Gordon Childers 49.

    Doubles: AA, Terry Bilbey 48, A Paul McIntosh 43, B, Jim Hammond 49, C, Terry Fredrick 44 and D, Ray Games 45.

HOA: Champion, Terry Bilbey 195, AA Brian McCormick 193, A Paul McIntosh 186, Jim Hammond 195, C, Cliff Wagner 178 and D, Ryan Grant 174.

Hi Vet, Si Allen 98, Hi Jr, Justin McCormick 92, and High Lady, Candy Hammond 97.

A special thanks to Bill and Ruthie Hunter, Terry and Jacque Bilbey, Maryann and all the staff at Redlands Shooting Park.

See you at our next shoot on Sunday August 3rd.

You know something must be going right when we can have that many squads come out in the heat of summer! Amazing. The only thing that would make it any better would be to include the Terry's new Argentina Trap as one of the competition disciplines....lol. Man that is one fun game.

BMC, We would have to have a very alert scorekeeper. Twenty five shots in 2 minutes. I could only estimate how many I hit. But the Argentina Trap was loads of fun and would be a very good warm up for actual dove hunting. With practice I wonder on some of the shots you could hit two crossing birds with one shot?

I saw Terry nearly take two targets with one shot, a left crosser and an incoming both crossed paths near where Terry shot the crosser first. Had he took the crosser a split second earlier he probably would have broken the incoming too.
