So I just got an older Merkel 200et trap, and wonder what here prefer as far as
    adjustable buttplates goes? Morgans?Jones?Gracoils?Others?Nothin atall?
I just like to get more rubber on the shoulder/heads up fit,i`m thinking even
a pitch spacer to compensate for my manly pecs.
    thanks in advance!

Jones is my choice. I like the three-screw ones but have bought a couple of guns with the one-screw adjustment and I guess it worked.

Check out the 100 straight adjustable plate. It's a nice piece of hardware. The things that I like the most about it is it's one screw adjustment and the fact that it's the thinnest of all of the ones that I've looked at.

    Billy,

As far as getting your head and neck more upright, a pad adjuster is the way to go (and it appears that you need it).

It is possible that a more upright head and neck posture could change your eye's position relative to the rib a little. Watch the cheek pressure needed to align your eye with the rib the way it was before the adjuster was installed.

100 straight offers an awful lot of adjustment with one easy allen head screw.----Matt

I'll echo Sportshot and Gunnerx and vote for Greg Hissem. He put one on my gun a couple of years ago and I'm still convinced it's the best one out there. Nice guy to deal with too, which never hurts.
