Do a search on this site for PFS cheekpiece. There's a guy who posted not long ago who makes really pretty ones. Don't know about the grip part.

when I priced the wood comb and cheekpiece from them a year ago, it was 1K for the grip, and I think $300 for the comb

I've made a couple of combs. Piece of cake. Grip, I don't think so.

I'm aware of two companies that make a custom wood grip for the PFS.

    Dawson Enterprises

    http://www.dawsonent.com/

    John Fittinger

    http://www.customgunstocks.net/

Please call both to determine their ability to meet your needs.

There is not much material in the PFS grip. Maybe thats why they went to plastic in-lew of wood. Also the single screw design holding the unit together with the steel backplate. I don't think wood will last in this application. But, I guess we'll see.

I have two wooden grip PFS units on two DT 10s. I have used them extensively for about 2 years...no problems. Pat McCarthy at Dawson's makes both the Stock lock and the wooden PFS grips. Mine were made by John Fittinger and are exceptional.

    Machine,

Just confirming what Jon Schorle says above - Dawson Enterprises does make a custom wood PFS grip - I recently called them to discuss what they had in stock.

I have seen the grips that Jon has on his guns and they are truly beautiful and functional - Stocker John did a terrific job on those.
