I'm wanting to reload some 1-1/4oz field loads & found a full carton of wads in my basement. They are Remington Power Piston 1-1/4oz (live bird) W29926.
Is there a new number for the wad or some old data? thanks

SP12 is the closest I can come. The solid section of the wad which determines coulmn height may be different. RP12 is in the same ballpark. Ballistically they should be the same, and a load using established data will work, providing it fits into the case properly. If I knew what you were attempting to load I could give you data all the way back to Lyman's first manual.

Myself, I use the federal hull with that type wad and 32 gr. 7625 for 1400 FPS with 1 & 1/4 of shot. that's a little warm, use 31 gr.

I believe the RP12 was the one used in the old Live Pigeon Loads for what its worth.
