What do the initials P.B. stand for in powders and is it a good powder or just what are the pros and cons of it? I notice it a low psi's and hi speed

I like it. It is versatile. Loads light and heavy. It is clean. It is low pressure. Many say it is just for the heavy load but it works for me with 1 oz at 1200 fps. P. B. stands for "PULL" - "BANG".

PB is the powder God shoots - when he has extra coin in his jeans, that is.

It's more expensive than cocaine, takes a snuff-can full for each measure, looks like shooting a 20' roman candle at night, and the people that shoot autos love the firey hulls.

It is also scalable, predictable, flexible, works heavy-to-light meters like cool water and smells delicious in FedPaper hulls. SR 7625 is the only other porus base powder, and is even lower pressure and more 'strechable' than PB.

PB is also very clean burning, and like a lot of shotgun powders, can be used in some pistol cartridges. Wayne

I used to shoot it a lot. I think I bought this one in the late 80's but not sure. It has never been opened and is a 12lb keg in steel barrel type container. The price on the top was $62.50. 8 lbs today is ( 12lbs no longer available) is $150 plus hazmat and ship. I use 7625 now.

The one thing I dislike about PB is that it has the consistency of ground pepper and it gets everywhere and all over everything and makes a real mess.

Will PB users please refrain from advertising how good that powder really is. It must be creating a shortage as prices keep going up and up-almost weekly.

    4 lb. containers are discontinued!!

This is a new super powder for trap loads. P.B. stands for Perfect Blend. It
is a blend of 1/3 Red dot and 2/3 Green dot.

Goatskin, God shoots 7625 in Federal paper hulls...

At least if we live in a well-ordered universe.

Wonder if either of these powders would test well in steel shot target loads (1200 fps).

    Cuban,

I use STSs usually, but doubles with 7625 in papers should be a controlled substance. If I could, I'd shoot 'em all the time. Best stuff ever!!!

Kinda reminds me of the old (pre Feb 18, 2001) NASCAR joke about the fan who goes to heaven and sees a black #3 car on heavens' track. St. Peter says. 'Don't worry. Sometimes God likes to pretend he is Dale Earnhart.'

Think God loads on a Spolar or a Ponsness?
