    powder baffle for mec 9000

just got my red powder baffle for my mec . the instructions says take out all washers and springs. does this mean the brass dimple washer and the neoprene washer on top? I thought the brass enabled the charge bar to slide across when you went from powder to lead?

Yes, take them all out, red powder baffle base rides right on top of charge bar.
This is the best investment you'll ever make for a MEC>

Another vote for the Pattern Control Baffle. Well worth the little money it costs.

After umpteen years of reloading without a baffle, I bought one of the red Pattern Control baffles.

I was really amazed at how it cut down on powder leaks and was still very accurate on each drop.

Go for it, you'll like it.

Best choice you could have made. Just make sure you don't tighten the powder bottle too muchor you'll get bad drops as there will be too much pressure on the bar. That little ring in the middle is spring loaded and stays on the bar with only a small amount of pressure on it.
