I'm a doctor. Go to the ED and let them look at her eye. One trip to the ED $100 to 200, but a bad infection that could have been easily treated now can be real expensive. Ounce of prevention.....

Working on the farm you will have dust and other things getting in your eyes. I have scratched my eye a large number of times and it just takes time to heal. I have gone to the eye Doc and he looked around and got things out and gave me a cream to help heal and for the eye to feel better so I can sleep. All he charged in my area was $35 with the insurance card.

Go to the eye doctor...An infection could travel through the tear ducts and infect the other eye also. Take it from someone that knows first hand.
