I had a Win. 101 magnum that had a bulged lower barrel at the muzzle. To thin for choke tubes; not repairable. Mike cut barrels to 28" for about $45.00. Fast service and cut was barely noticeable. Good steel shot gun over decoys.

Mike does excellent barrel work.. from what I've seen.. and I hear he's a good gunsmith too.. He's one of the good guys we don't hear much about anymore.. Saying all this.. don't port your barrels.. they add little or nothing.. Save that money for stock fitting and it will be better spent.. All Good.. Mike

I had Mike thread/install extended choke tubes in a browning M42.
Excellent work ,quick turnaround and very reasonable pricing.

I can't speak to the porting issue but I've had Mike do forcing cones & thread a couple of barrels for tubes. Great work, very reasonable prices, & quick turnaround. Don't hesitate to send your barrel to Mike.
