In the instruction manual it says to align the dots on the timing gears with the dots on the metal gear rack. I see the dots on the gears but do not see any on the metal gear rack, unless I am looking in the wrong spot. Any suggestions????

Hi Steve, Just pull the handle down about halfway you should be able to see the dots.

Been there, done that, Steve. The PW loader is a wonderful machine with many lessons to teach. In the years to come, you will learn them all. Fortunately, TS.com has a cadre of folks well versed on the machine(s). Jim White's website is a great starting place. While you've got the top off, get the machined top plate/bottle holder from Jim Skeel.

    best.... mike

You can't feel stupid yet, wait till you fill the shot reservoir with the drain turned on. Then you can feel stupid. LOL And no I didn't read about it in a book.

    Great machine, you'll like it.

You should go ahead and order a couple extra wad fingers if you didn't already do so. You'll find out that they need to be replaced at the worst time otherwise...

    Border Bandit:

Had to laugh about your comment because you know that I too have had that experience.

I think this is a situation that the best learning comes "in the act."

Although, I have changed and no longer ship those in 12 gauge brush tubes... now using 10 gauge. ;-)
