In the most recent presidential history since the turn of the 19th century, from # 26 Theodore Roosevelt in 1901, to Barak Obama # 44 of today; there has been 27 presidential terms served. According to my research there were 14 Republican administrations and 13 Democratic.

The mixture of Democrats to Republican executive administrations is very balanced.

Among that very varied cast of 19 characters we've sampled the gamut of left wing liberals, to avid far-right champions, and everything in between.

It seems that at least this far in history, the Constitution has charted a sound course for our country no matter who is residing in the Mason Blanche.

This next election will upset many, no doubt.

If you are unhappy with who gets in, history seems to dictate that all you have to do is wait your turn.

For two-year olds and zealots, patience is a tough skill to manage.

    Guy,

If memory serves, ONLY twice did the sitting Pres. have a major Congress to work with. And, one was the Obamafuher. How did that work out? I will let you do a little research.

Politics, and the mood of the country, is very much like a pendalum. If you don't like what is going on just be patient, it will all eventually swing the other way.
We almost all hope for a huge and resounding conservative win in November, but it is a law f physics that the left will win an equally decisive victory at some time in the future.
Sad but true, we just never learn...

If a tie in the electoral college, the election then goes to the House, which is controlled by the Republicans.

Again, perfect example of why it is important to elect the "right" people in the House and Senate.
