I cannot give you the complete story Wayne but I have a BT-99 with an RP in the serial number. It is a very high shooting gun. Years ago a dealer told me that the Japanese engineers consulted with the top trapshooters/ Big Dogs as to what they could do to improve on the BT-99. Changes were made to the rib height at the production level based on this input. The people they talked to were all 27 yard shooters. I put an aftermarket rib on mine and now I can use the vertical comb adjustment to lower POI. Regards; Bill H.

RRs and RTs were the high shooting BT-99s.
