I would like all TS shooters and posters to remember this man.

Darrell " SHIFTY " Powers that served in the 101st Airborne he passed away June 19th 2009 with no recognition by the news media and his contributions
to the people of the USA and other countries, a story told by CHUCK YEAGER
when he met him in an airport coming home from V Day memorial services.

This man deserves recognition and a thanks to Geno Hap Mctweeks of Vail Arizona for sending me the story that CHUCK YEAGER wrote about him.

I salute and Darrell "SHIFTY" Powers for his services

I salute Pat Ireland for his ideas and inspiration also

I salute others that I do not know also for their dedication.

Gary, A nice tribute, "Band of Brothers" is one of my favorite series. HBO does a terrific job on all their mini series. Keep an eye out for the next production, it's a civil war production "Appomattox." The roster of great hollywood actors trying out for the parts in this drama is huge. I have heard Carl Edwards of NASCAR fame will be in it, playing the part of a Southern General. Jack

Stephen Ambrose is one of my favorite authors but his book "Band of Brothers" is one you can't put down once you start reading. What those guys did and the sacrifices they made should never be forgotten. The HBO series is good but your really should read the book too. I enjoyed " D Day June 6" and " Americans at War" and there are several others.
