Can anybody explain how stock pitch works for recoil. I am interested in how pitch works for recoil and a proper gun fit. What does pitch do when you shoot.Does it control the barrel. Any info would be great.

It changes the amount of contact the butt pad makes with your shoulder. When adjusted properly you get maximum contact. HMB

. . . and when it is too little your face gets hit more than necessary, too much and your upper shoulder gets hit harder and harder.

one part of stock fitting is to get the gun to come straight back into your shoulder thus reducing FELT Recoil. One component of fitting is pitch.
