I was hoping to find out what the current market is for a 1979 Pigeon
Grade BT-99. It is a 2 barrel set, 34" (s/n matches the gun) and 32"
ported (different s/n). It also has a adjustable, recoil reducing
buttstock. The engraving is stunning, the wood has a beautiful grain,
the bluing is very nice, the high gloss clear has some handling marks
on both the buttstock and forestock. I am considering selling and
would likely try here first, I'm just not sure what to value it at.

    Thanks in advance...

Click the link for one that sold here recently. This would get you close. It sold pretty quickly.

    They are very nice guns.

I bought mine low mileage and perfect, cased for $2400.00. I don't believe they made many 2-bbl sets in the Pigeon grade. Hold out for top buck.

It's a pretty Browning but lets not mislead the gentleman with the comparisons. Stl Flyn's comparo has a Monte Carlo stock which is a BIG plus and it also has a competition forend. Fly's was "perfect" and probably had matching numbers. This is likely a $1450-$1650 shotgun. Maybe a little more if the handling marks can be buffed out and you hold out for the right person.

    Nice gun, good luck.

GW22 is about on the money. Probably nearer the high end of hiw price. Seeings how its not a factory 2 barrel set. Its a Pigeon grade with an extra barrel.

With respect, I can see the semi-beavertail forend on this one... same one as on my '79 Pigeon... true its the straight comb, but that's how many came from the factory... someone would appreciate the adjustable butt plate!

Thanks for all the kind words and the useful information. I am trying to decide whether to sell or keep right now. My son is dying to shoot it, he is 12 and is on a competitive trap team. I'm just not sure he wouldn't be better off with an O/U or combo, not to mention it's just too pretty to shoot all the time.

If I decide to list here on TS, I will put it in the for sale section and note it here in this thread.

    Thanks, KJ
