Does anyone know if Phillips Gunsmithing is still in business? I tried to pull up his website, but it said that "this service has been cancelled". Anybody have any information or contact number? Thanks.

I believe he is on the road right now. I remember reading here a few days ago that he was or would be at the big PITA shoot. He will be at the Grand American in a couple weeks. Here is the number I have for him.

He might be good on some triggers but he stuggles a bit on others

He certainly didn't "stuggle" on mine for a BT-99 back-up.

He did a great job, fast return.

I believe it's "stuggle" Matt, a term-of-art in the world of gunsmithing.

Phil has done at least 8 sets of either Release-Pull and Double Releases for me and never ever a problem, and I live in Australia.

He has been doing triggers for me since 1996 and not so much as one missfire, would recommend him in a heart beat.

And we shoot every week down here as we do not get the Cold winters that you guy's do.

    Matt,

Four months today, hope the recovery is going well and you are all set for the Grand.

Are you going over to Rend Lake for Leo's coaching, heard from Karla over night and she tells me Leo has a busy few days coming up.

Mate have a great Grand, shoot well, stay well and God willing will catch up next summer.

    Correction made. "stuggle".

I just love the unwarranted jabs with no explanation to go along with it.

    Gary,

Shoulder is doing great. I shot 400 Registered targets last Saturday at Rend Lake. I won't make Leo's clinic although I could sure use a tune up after the scores I shot last weekend. I'm primed and pumped for the Grand. I only wish you were coming. It won't be the same this year without you. I'll drop you a line during the Grand for updates.

See ya next year but we will be in touch in the meantime.

    Matt

He had one heck of a time with my 90t. After several returns as well as several missed shoots he gave my $$ back and I had another smith fix it up for 1/2 the price

I had him put a release in my MX-15 and he did an excellent job and had it back to me in no time at all.

I will be taking a trigger to him at the Grand, as a friend of mine needs his TM-1 trigger converted to release.

Phil has done releases in several different guns of the wifes. Always amazed me how smooth he can make a set of double releases in less expensive guns. Phil is the only person that will touch triggers in any of my guns.

He did a fantastic job on my Browning. Set and release were what I asked for and I was not disappointed.
