I shoot both trap and sporting w/ an MX-8/ PFS. I raise my stock about 3/16" for trap. The PFS is a pain with the threaded adjustment and no way to tell when your right, except for measuring. Anyone come up with a shim method?

I would recommend the "Ultimate Fit Comb" that Vern Brown has as an option. I have two I them and an they work better than an adjustable wood comb.

Vern Brown is the owner of Precision Fit Stocks. You can get his contact information at the above URL. He carries his cell with him at all times. I think he is at a shoot in Utah this weekend.

i made a shim out of plex-a-grass ,out of about 3/8 material, put in countersink holes that lined up with set screws, all you need to do is just slip it in and snug up cheek piece screws....vdt

I bought a second comb and set it up for skeet/sptg clays. Easier to change
    combs than adjust comb height.
