One of the more radical Tea Party factions was on tv today, saying they plan on boycotting and protesting Perry appearances due to Perry's vague response to Tea Party's questions to him on important issues.

What most people don't realize is a border fence doesn't eliminate the need for manned patrols it just modifies the way the patrols are conducted. Possibly the number of Border Patrol officers to cover a certain area can be reduced by having the fence but you still need them! The fence will discourage some illegals from trying to cross but not all. It will slow down those who still make the attempt and maybe keep them on foot. Officers are still needed to round them up before they get to town and "disappear" into the general population.

The fence will be breached repeatedly. Plenty of photos exist of holes cut into the fencing with people flooding through.

And there ain't enough border patrolmen to go around.

Short of minefields, put the military to securing the borders. Assign them civilian police enforcement ability within 5 miles of the border. Authorize them to shoot to kill anyone who shoots at them, including the armed incursions by Mexican police and military.

A fence is a waste of money. Perry knows that!

They come here to work dont they ? My plan would have them working for about 3 years doing public projects, wearing nice orange jumpsuits, sleeping in tents, eating their usual beans and rice, wearing chains to keep them from getting lost in a strange land, and having a nice man on horseback toting a shotgun just to keep from disturbing them while at work.

Second offense would earn the right to spend 7 years at the same job and so on. Fourth offense and they could earn a lifetime position with the "publc works Dept".

I saw a fix online awhilea ago.

1..make a moat the length of mexico.

2..fill it with the overpopulation of alligators from florida/

3..take all the dirt from the moat and raise new orleans above sea level

    Shadow.....

How about we make them staff workers for members of the congress. Each will not understand the other and we can have zero bills getting passed.
