    Perot gave the 1992 election to Clinton. Will the kamikaze wing of the tea party do the same in 2012?

    Yes he did, but it won't happen in 2012 for that very reason.

    See link.

    Schoen, one of the authors of the Wall Street Journal article at the link, was on Fox News today. Usually third party candidate are spoilers that give the election to the other side, e.g. TR in 1914, Perot, William Jennings Bryan. Those third party candidates take votes from predominately one side.

    He said there could be an odd situation this year if Democrats renominate Obama and the Republicans nominate a too conservative a candidate for the centrist and a bit right of center voters that are the great majority of Americans. In this case the third party candidate might be the most centrist candidate and draw voters from both sides, and from the independents, and from the non-phobic wing of the tea party.

    I think with the destruction Obama has done to the democrats, a third party has a chance at taking it all!!

    Liberals = dems and RINO's = socialist = defeat

    timerfaller - I disagree. I think you will find that -

    far left-wing or far right-wing = defeat. It's always been that way in USA, and it will be that way in 2012.

    In elections, only those who vote matter. Many tea party and far left people are very vocal, but don't vote. That is why centerist candidates usually win. Anything can change, but history is a good teacher.

    More liberal Kool-Aid.

    Does anyone see the irony and hypocrisy of a liberal posting what conservatives should do to make sure they win the election?

    Does anyone really think liberals have the best interests of conservatives in mind?

    The fact is... they're running scared, and they hope to misinform conservatives into voting for RINOs and left-leaning weak sisters, which has a much better chance of splitting the vote.
