Just wondering has anyone ever been on a squad where all 5 shooters shot 100. At my last state shoot the squad I was on everyone shot 25 on the first field, It was down hill after that.

Been on two in my life. Have been on several where someone missed in the last five.

Was on a 499 Squad at one of our State Shoots a few years ago and I believe it was # 93 that was missed......No, it wasn't me. I must say, after 3 perfect traps the pressure started to get to everyone.

My squad ran the last 50 in a shoot at Campbell River, B.C. about 25 years ago.

We didn't know each other when we started but after the event the gun club ran a Calcutta for the handicap the next day. Lots of liquid refreshments and pickled salmon was served and by the end of the evening we were all good friends. Some of those guys are still amongst us and enjoy reliving that evening when we cross paths.

Nope, but I did shoot a 96 one time missing the first bird out on every field. Just one of those days.

At the Central Zone this year at Brittany I was on a squad that had a 496 in the first 100 of the championship singles. Three 100's, a 99, and a poor bastard that could only manage a 97. Best squad I've ever been on (score-wise), happy to say I was the squad leader and set a good example.

At the Ill State Shoot in 2003 ( or thereabouts) I was the only one to miss on the first trap of the 1st 100 of the 200 bird preliminary singles. That was the only target missed by anyone on the squad. 999 and I was the 1--pk

Phil forgot to mention the nice T-Shirt his squad mates presented him with. And, he proudly wore it.

About 15 years ago, my son, a friend and I were on a 16-yard squad on a preliminary day at the Grand with a gentleman from Michigan and another from, I believe, Indiana. We all ran the last trap and thought we were hot stuff. That is, until we checked the scoreboard later on and discovered that over 400 other squads had posted at least one perfect trap and 20-some had perfect 500s.

    Oh well, we had fun.

Rick, you're right. I just checked with my son and he said the number with one perfect trap was over 200, not 400.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing Ed.
Perfect 500x500 16 yard squads? If so, I doubt that there have more than 20 in the history of trapshooting.....let alone one Grand.

    No, all five do. Five x 100 = 500.
