Since it is getting colder and many can no longer shoot as much you want until it begins to warm again here is a little, well to some it might be a major challenge but here is a challenge for the reloading experts out there in TS.com’ville.

We’re going for an economical load so we want to use everyday and regularly available cost effective components. You start by figuring to use a Remington STS hull but … the primer, powder and wad must be the same for all recipes, remember the economical part of the challenge? You can’t afford a bunch of different powders, primers and wads, well maybe 2 wads but no more than that!

Now … for the difficulty to the challenge … you are only allowed 1 particular powder charge, it must be the same for all 3 recipes loads and your trying to achieve the loads:

7/8oz load at around 1250 to 1300 fps
1oz load at about 1250 to 1290 fps
1-1/8 oz load at about 1140 to 1200 fps

All of the FPS are approximates but the goal is to use the same primer, powder and preferably the same wad for all three but don’t forget, you must use the same powder charge for all of them.

Yep … time to see what ya’ll can come up with but remember … everyday and regularly available cost effective components so keep that in mind when concocting your recipes.
